Rogers Hometown Hockey
This Rogers Entertainment sponsored free family event took place on the Sault Ste Marie waterfront at the Roberta Bondar Park. Ouside there were all sorts of hockey-related activities for the kids and their families to participate in, and free hot chocolate and McDonalds coffee to warm up with. There were also some food concessions
Under the tent there was a Nintendo gaming area and a trailer serving that famous Canadian delicacy "Beavertails"! There was a non-stop pickup ball hockey game going on and a slap shot speed test centre. To keep everyone hopping were the bands providing entertainment. On the Saturday with the wind coming off the river it was just bitterly cold and damp. Sunday was warmer, but still honestly winter-like! Yay winter!!!!

Pretty Young Thing's bass player had his own heater...but must've wished it was portable!
A guy that travels all over and serves Beavertails all day must be a jolly sort!
Yes, there are still Leaf fans! This was actually the busiest of the player stations, along with Sid Crosby's uniform.
The Sault Greyhounds came over to mingle with their fans after their 8-3 defeat of the London Knights. Signed lots of autographs and had their pics taken many times.
